Cold Mountain Night
The place where we live is very cold for quite awhile in winter but it often inspires me. Painting landscape is like telling a story, turning the painting into a visual poem.

Mountain Energy
We used to hike a lot, sometimes we would see people standing in front of waterfalls to do some kind of breathing exercise. I recalled the scene to make the mountain energy flow out of my brush again.

Auspicious Year
While I was working on this painting, I was wishing that we all have a great, abundant New Year ahead just like these beautiful flourishing peonies!!

Along the Hill
Today is Chinese New Year's Eve. Traditionally, we have to clean the whole house for welcoming the New Year and also to pay respects to our ancestors through certain ceremonies. Then family members will come from all over to get together and have a wonderful family meal to celebrate the New Year. Have a happy, healthy, and prosperous Year of the OX.

Moon over the Li River
Sometime I paint landscapes. It can take me away from the world of birds and flowers. No matter which style of the painting, they all have their own techniques and structures to deal with. The only thing that remains the same are the brushes, paper, and ink.
