First time I saw cedar waxwings I thought they were fake birds. They have deer-like feathers, smooth, sleek and silky with a distinctive eye mask, yellow tail tips and red dots on their wings. They always fly in groups and just look so gorgeous.

We followed a long stream this sunny winter morning. The water was so clean and crisp, it seemed to have millions of reflecting silver mirrors. This beautiful and unique scene reminded me of a train ride through the Swiss Alps, a long time ago.
